Our Vision and Objectives
We are a group of democratic civil society associations of the Congolese diaspora in the United States that respects the law, individual rights, and the right of other groups to express their interests and opinions. Our objective is characterized by entities focused on philanthropy, human rights, social justice, and the defense of numerous causes, ranging from healthcare to education.
Our civil society organizations play several roles: They are an important source of information for both citizens and the government. They monitor government policies and actions and hold the government accountable. They advocate and propose alternative policies to the government, the private sector, and other institutions. Civil society provides an essential link to a state's population, promoting understanding of events taking place in a country and the needs of its people.
